Community Education 128 Policies & Procedures

Registration, Tuition & Fees

Residents from surrounding communities are welcome to take classes for the same tuition fees as residents of D128. Registration begins immediately and runs throughout the semester unless otherwise noted. Prompt registration online, by mail or fax helps ensure enrollment in class. Payment must be submitted at the time of registration. Checks (payable to Community High School District 128 or CHSD 128) or VISA or Master card are accepted with mail-in registrations. Credit cards are required with faxed and online registrations. Our fax number is (847) 327-7939.

In person registration is available at the Community Education Office at the Administrative Offices for CHSD #128 during the hours of 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. The address is 50 Lakeview Parkway, Suite 101, Vernon Hills.  Please use the entrance for Suite 104 to access to our office. The office is closed on school holidays, and hours may vary over winter, spring, and summer breaks. During these breaks please call (847) 247-4575 to verify hours of operation.

Please register early!  Some classes have limited spaces and fill up quickly. Classes with insufficient registration will be canceled five working days prior to the start of class. Registrations may be accepted up to the first night of class as student capacity and supply material availability permits.

Registrations will be confirmed via email. Please mark your calendar with class dates and times. Unless you are notified by phone of a class cancellation, assume that you are enrolled and the class will meet.

Textbook and materials are not included in the tuition, unless otherwise noted. Some material fees must be paid to the instructor at class.  This will be listed in the course description.  Exact change is appreciated whenever possible.

Refunds

All classes in the Community Education Program are self-supporting and depend upon full collection of tuition.  Students wishing to cancel their registration must do so at least five business days before class begins to receive a refund.  A $15 registration fee will be charged on all refunds.  If District 128 cancels the class, a full refund will be made. Once a class has begun, no refunds will be issued.
