Dan Kiernan - Head Coach

Coach Kiernan has been the head tennis coach of the boys’ team since 1994 and teaches tennis full time at The Libertyville Club. Coach Kiernan has filled numerous roles during his long teaching career in the Libertyville community and has gained extensive experience instructing competitive teams in particular. In his years of coaching at LHS, his teams have won countless invites; a sectional and conference title, as well as, produced numerous IHSA All-State and collegiate players. As an Illinois high school player himself, Dan qualified for the IHSA State Finals Tournament three years in a row and won his sectional twice. He played as high as number one doubles for Illinois State University. He graduated from ISU in 1987 with a BS degree in business management. Dan’s daughter, Kaitlyn, attends Loyola University’s MS program for Biology.
