Greg Pedersen - Head Girls Golf Coach

Mr. Pedersen is in his eleventh season as the head girls golf coach at Libertyville High School after spending two seasons as the jv coach. In his time as head coach, the Cats have won the North Suburban Conference three times, won four Regional championships, qualified for Sectionals six times, and taken his team and individuals to State. Coach Pedersen was a competitive golfer in high school earning Regional Medalist honors his senior season. He also spent his high school and college years working at a golf course and shares a strong passion for the game. Coach Pedersen teaches in the English department and serves as the varsity girls basketball coach. In his 23rd year in education, he joined the Libertyville faculty in 1997 after teaching for two years in Sandwich, IL, and currently teaches AP English Literature and Freshman Literature. He received his Master's degree in Literature from Northeastern Illinois University and his Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Illinois State University. When he is not teaching, grading, or coaching, he enjoys live music, golf, and family time with his wife (Marnie), daughter (Emily), son (Justin), and golden retriever.

Rick Kolze - JV Girls Golf Coach

Coach Kolze is entering his 3rd year as a member of the Girls Golf coaching staff.  He is in his 10th year teaching, seven of which have been at LHS within the Special Services department.  Coach is also the Men's Varsity Assistant basketball coach.  He graduated from Fremd High School where he then went on to attend Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.  During his time at Loras, coach Kolze earned his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education while also playing basketball.  He also earned a Master's Degree in Educational Technology from Concordia University Chicago.  In his free time, Coach Kolze enjoys reading, watching the many shows out there, golfing and playing basketball.  He is excited to be a part of the program!
