Baseline "ImPACT" Testing for Freshman and Junior Students

Baseline "ImPACT" Testing for Freshman and Junior Students

This year, Freshmen and Junior students will have the opportunity to take a computerized test that measures verbal and visual memory, processing speed and reaction time to establish a student’s “baseline.”  The baseline is a measure of how a student performs on the test when they are cognitively healthy (not concussed).  If a student sustains a concussion after taking the baseline test, if prescribed by their doctor, the student may retake the test to get a post-concussion measurement.

For more information read the complete letter sent to parents and this informational link from Advocate Health Care.
