Schedule of Events

4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. - Prom Reception in LHS Gym
5:30 p.m. - Bus Boarding time, departure promptly at 5:45
7:00 p.m. - Bus Arrival Time at Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier
7:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. - Buffet dinner, dessert, and dancing
10:45 p.m. - Bus Boarding and Departure
12:00 a.m. - Arrival at LHS

Junior/Senior Invitation

One member of each Prom couple must be a junior or senior currently enrolled at Libertyville High School or an early graduate of the Libertyville High School class of 2018.  It is not necessary to attend the Prom as a couple; one may attend as a single individual or go with a friend as long as the junior or senior role is fulfilled.  Guests can be a sophomore, junior or senior in high school.  No one over the age of 20 is permitted to be a guest.

Tickets and Registration

All Prom tickets are sold through the Web Store and are available NOW through April 3, 2018.  Pricing is as follows:

  • $200.00 per couple / $100.00 per individual if purchased by March 22, 2018
  • $220.00 per couple / $110.00 per individual if purchased between March 23 and April 3, 2018

Please PRINT THE RECEIPT after purchasing as this will serve as  your proof of purchase when registering for Prom.  If tickets are purchased as a couple, one Web Store receipt will suffice.  Each student attending Prom must complete a Prom Registration Form (Available in LSTs). 

Table Leader and Table Seating

If you wish to sit in a group, please designate one group member to collect all forms and act as your Table Leader.  it will be the Table Leader's responsibility to fill out the Table Leader Cover sheet and Checklist for the entire group.  The Table Leader will also be responsible for handling in all paperwork to Mrs. Brosio (across from the auditorium) for registration and seating assignment.  Bus and table assignments will be made only after tickets are purchased and all Prom registration forms are completed and turned in.  Dining tables at the Crystal Gardens accommodate ten people.  If you have a dining group smaller than ten, we will combine guests accordingly.  Seating changes will not be made once assigned.

Non LHS Guest Forms

If a student wants to bring a non-Libertyville High School student ot Prom, the guest form must be completed and turned in to his or her LST.  Non-LHS guest forms are available in the LST's.  Once the guest paperwork is approved by your Team Leader, your LST will provide you with a non-LHS GUEST PASS.  This must be stapled to your registration form and turned in to your Table Leader.  Falsifying signatures and/or information invalidates the Prom application and participation in Prom will immediately be cancelled.  No refunds will be provided.  


Each student is required to bring a photo ID to Prom.  Your ID will serve as your Prom ticket.

Prom Reception

A reception will be held on the evening of Prom in the Libertyville High School main gym beginning at 4:30 p.m.  During this time, Prom attendees may enjoy hors d’oeuvres and snacks, mingle with friends, and take their professional Prom photos before the buses depart. Loading of busses for the  Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier  will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.


Photo sessions will take place at the pre-Prom reception in the Libertyville High School main gym from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. prior to departure to Chicago. Information from VIP Photography can be found at www.vipis.com. Students are recommended to pay in advance.  Please bring your picture package receipt to the pre-Prom reception.


A full day of attendance at school on Friday, April 13, 2018, is a requirement for participation in any Prom activities. Formal attire is required. Members of the Libertyville Police Department, the Libertyville High School Security team, Administration, and faculty chaperones will be present at Prom.  Students under the influence or in possession of alcohol, or illegal or look-alike drugs will be turned over to the appropriate authorities for arrest.  The parents of the young adult(s) will be notified. Prom is a school event; therefore, all school rules still apply.  No “flasks” of any type are permitted at Prom. The Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier will conduct random bag checks.  No backpacks of any type are allowed at Prom. Attendees must bring flip flops or other comfortable shoes if they choose to take off their formal shoes. No one should be barefoot at the venue. Any student found barefoot at the Crystal Gardens will be asked to leave and parents will be contacted for pick up.  This is a Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier regulation.


All students are required to take the coach buses to and from Prom.  No food or drink will be allowed on busses.  All Prom attendees will be escorted directly from the buses into the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier by Libertyville High School chaperones and employees of the Crystal Gardens.

Buffet Dinner Menu

  • Assorted soft drinks, sparkling mineral and still waters, assorted fruit juices
  • Tossed iceberg and romaine lettuce With cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, mushrooms, croutons, with herb vinaigrette and ranch dressing
  • Caesar salad with parmigiano cheese and croutons
  • Classic Italian penne and spinach and cheese tortellini
  • Choice of pomodoro or pesto cream sauce
  • French chicken breast with boursin cheese and roasted red peppers in herbs de provence sauce
  • Garlic whipped potatoes and grilled seasonal vegetables
  • Fresh sliced fruit with assorted cookies and brownies for dessert


Libertyville High School and the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier are not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Cancellation Fees

After purchasing a ticket, the following cancellation fee will apply:  50% of the original payment will be charged if a cancellation request is received in writing to Ms. Brosio (across from the auditorium) by 2:50 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.   Any cancellation beyond this time is not eligible for refund because final confirmation of attendance and funds are due to Crystal Gardens.
