Board Celebrates VHHS Musicians at February Meeting
At its February meeting, the D128 Board of Education recognized the following VHHS students named Illinois Music Education Association All-State Musicians: Bobby Black, Donalie Black, Jillian Boes, Caylee Brand, Kelsey Carido, Ariel Chah, Ceci Gao, Joshua Liu and Nikki Medanovic. Jillian Boes was also named to the National Association for Music Education 2017 All-National Honor Ensemble.
The Board also congratulated the VHHS selected to be a part of the Illinois High School School Theatre All-State production of Big Fish. Congratulations to cast members Donalie Black, Mackenzie Furlett, crew members Sofia Schmeltzer, Valerie Smith and Skylar Torry, and pit orchestra member Samantha Kolber.
