Meet the Coaches
Casey Dugan, Head Varsity Dance Team Coach
Coach Dugan has been with the Libertyville Dance Team Program since 2012. She has been a lifelong member of the Libertyville community where she trained in dance for her entire youth. Prior to 2015, Coach Dugan worked with the JV level. In 2015, Coach Dugan became the head of the program. That year the team’s hard work earned them Sectional Champions and 3rd place at the IHSA State Championship. In 2017, the Varsity earned a trip down state and placed 5th at the IHSA State Championship. In 2018, the Varsity team qualified for the IHSA State series. Last year, the team placed 7th at the IHSA State Championship. Coach Dugan had the honor of being a four-year Libertyville Varsity Dance Team member and a two-year captain in high school. Currently, Coach Dugan teaches third grade at Oak Grove Elementary School in Libertyville. Coach Dugan is looking forward to another great season!
Jordyn Cohen, Assistant Varsity Dance Team Coach
Coach Cohen is excited to be coming back to the program as an assistant coach for Varsity Dance Team. Coach Cohen attended Stevenson High School and danced on the poms team for four years. She also participated on the Lake Forest College dance team for two years. Coach Cohen has been coaching dance at the high school level for six years, three of which have been for Libertyville Varsity. Coach Cohen is thrilled to be part of the Libertyville Dance Team for the 2019-20 season!
Amanda Modloff, Junior Varsity Dance Team Coach
Coach Modloff is super excited to begin her coaching career with Libertyville High School where she student taught in the English department through Lake Forest College two years ago. Coach Modloff quickly fell fell in love with Libertyville High School for its incredible students, contagious school spirit and positive energy; she is thrilled to be back in this new capacity! Dance has always been a part of Coach Modloff’s life: from taking countless dance classes during her childhood, to being a member of the Maine West High School dance and orchesis teams, to leading the Lake Forest College dance team as captain. This next step in her dance career is an absolute honor! Currently, Coach Modloff teaches Freshman Seminar at Waukegan High School, and is thrilled to continue working with high schoolers by bringing her spirit, energy and mentorship to the amazing dancers at Libertyville!
Alison Forsythe, Assistant Varsity Dance Team Coach
Coach Forsythe is thrilled to be joining the Libertyville Dance program this season. Coach Boudreau started dancing at the age of 3 at Dance Academy of Libertyville, training in ballet, jazz, and contemporary for 17 years. She was a dedicated member of Ballet Theatre of Illinois as well as co-captain of her high school dance team. While pursuing her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she participated in collegiate dance courses as well as coming home to help choreograph for her high school dance team. Now a Registered Pediatric Nurse in the Lake Forest area, Alison missed her time with the Libertyville dance community. Coach Boudreau is looking forward to joining the amazing family and community of the Libertyville Dance Team!
