Meet the Coaches


Casey Dugan, Head Varsity Dance Team Coach

Coach Dugan has been coaching with the Libertyville Dance Team Program since 2012.  She has been a lifelong member of the Libertyville community where she trained in dance for her entire youth. Coach Dugan had the honor of being a four-year Libertyville Varsity Dance Team member and a two-year captain in high school. Prior to 2015, Coach Dugan was an assistant coach. In 2015, Coach Dugan became the head of the program. In 2016, the team’s hard work earned them Sectional Champions and 3rd place at the IHSA State Championship. Throughout Coach Dugan's career as head coach, the Libertvyille Dance Team has made it to the IHSA State series 7 consectuvie years. The team placed 5th in the IHSA State Finals in 2017 & 2021, 6th place in the IHSA State Finals in 2022 and 7th place in the IHSA State Finals in 2019 & 2020. Currently, Coach Dugan is a Reading Specialist at Oak Grove School in Libertyville. Coach Dugan is looking forward to another great season!


Alison Forsythe, Assistant Varsity Dance Team Coach

Coach ForsytheCoach Forsythe (née Boudreau) is excited to be back for her fourth year with the Libertyville High School Dance Team. Growing up, she trained at Dance Academy of Libertyville. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she wanted to jump right back into the dance community. She was proud to coach the '21-'22 team who placed 6th in the IHSA State Finals as well as the '20-'21 team who placed 5th and the '19-'20 team who placed 7th. She is excited for another year with the incredible family of the Libertyville Dance Team! 


Sophie Leskis, Junior Varsity Dance Team Coach

Coach Leskis is very excited to start her first year for the Libertyville Dance Team Program. Leskis began her training at the age of 3, in a variety of styles, at a competitive studio in Champaign, Illinois. She was a member of the Mahomet-Seymour Dance Team for 4 years and earned a 1st place trophy at IHSA State her sophomore year. Coach Leskis danced at the collegiate level for 4 years at the University of Illinois on the Illinettes dance team, and took the title of captain her senior year on the team. The Illinettes danced at every home football and basketball game, along with numerous other performances. Throughout her college experience, Leskis worked with several high school and college dance teams across the midwest while doing freelance choreography and working as a UDA instructor. Coach Leskis recently graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelors of Applied Health Sciences & a focus in education. She feels very lucky to be welcomed into the Libertyville family & looks forward to an amazing season!


Megan Wolter, Assistant Dance Team Coach

Coach Wolter is graduating this spring from Grand Valley State University where she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. In her time at GVSU she has received many awards and scholarships and most recently received the “Excellence in A Discipline Award for Dance”. She is from Libertyville, IL and was a member of the Libertyville Dance Team from 2014- 2018. Megan was elected captain her senior year and was a part of the first choreography team in 2018. She trained at Dance Academy of Libertyville in a variety of styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, Contemporary and Pointe and performed with the pre professional companies, Ballet Theatre of Illinois and Jazz Theatre of Illinois. For the past three summers she has been an instructor for Universal Dance Association and was nominated for Rookie of the Year in 2019. Megan has just recently finished up her season as the Junior Varsity Dance Team coach at Kenowa Hills High school in Grand Rapids, MI. Megan is excited to return to the Libertyville Dance Team program and can’t wait to be a Wildcat again!
