Coach Pedersen is entering his sixth season as varsity basketball coach at Libertyville High School after fourteen seasons as an assistant at all levels and two other years spent coaching boys at Sandwich High School. In recent years, his coaching highlights include winning the championship of the Mundelein Holiday Tournament in 2015, leading an undefeated sophomore team in 2010 and winning five Libertyville High School Sophomore Invite championships between 2005 and 2010. He joined the Libertyville faculty in 1997 after teaching for two years in Sandwich, and currently teaches AP English Literature and Freshman Literature. He received his Master's degree in Literature from Northeastern Illinois University and his Bachelor's Degree in English Education from Illinois State University. When he is not teaching, grading, or coaching basketball, he enjoys live music, golf, and family time with his wife, daughter, son, and golden retriever.

Coach Holtsford has been teaching at LHS since 1986. She teaches Government, AP Government, and Law. She received her BA from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law. In her tenure at LHS, Ms. Holtsford has coached softball, basketball and Mock Trial.

Coach Mix has been teaching and coaching at Libertyville High School since 1989. He has served at every level of the girls program including Varsity coach in the early 2000’s. He teaches Honor's Geography and A.P. Human Geography. He graduated from Northeastern Illinois University with a B.A. in Geography and Environmental Studies and from Mississippi State University with a M.S. in Geoscience.

A - Jim Goodwin
Coach Goodwin is currently in his 33rd year of teaching at Libertyville High School. He began teaching math at LHS in 1986. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University, along with a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University. Coach Goodwin has been a part of LHS athletics for 30 years, coaching a number of sports including boys’ and girls’ basketball, boys’ and girls’ soccer, boys’ golf and boys' tennis. Coach Goodwin believes that “Sports are a great opportunity for athletes to learn how to work hard, play together as a team, and stay positive. These are invaluable life-lessons to help them prepare for the future.”

This will be Coach Kelly's fourth year coaching high school basketball, and his third year of working at LHS after
spending sixteen years working in the SP 500 pit at the Chicago Mechantile Exchange/Chicago Board of Trade. Pat played professional baseball for seven years with the Atlanta Braves and the Toronto Blue Jays. Prior to playing professionally, he played four years of competitive baseball in college, the last two at Missouri State University. Pat grew up in Waukegan and lettered in three sports: football, basketball, and baseball at Waukegan East HS. When not working or coaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. They enjoy boating as well as walking to their favorite restaurants and shops in their hometown of Libertyville.
