Patrick Fitzgibbons - Varsity Head Coach

Coach Fitzgibbons is a native of the Chicagoland area growing up in nearby Prairie View. He played lacrosse for Stevenson H.S., Purdue University and mens post-collegiate club in Chicago. He started coaching lacrosse in 2001 at Hinsdale Central H.S. as a JV assistant coach and after two seasons returned to his Alma Mater and spent the next sixteen years coaching at Stevenson H.S. (the last three as Varsity Head Coach). After a season coaching youth lacrosse with Lake Zurich Lacrosse Club Coach Fitzgibbons joined Vernon Hills H.S. as the Varsity Head Coach in the Fall of 2019

Coach Tran has been coaching with the Cougars in 2017. He is also currently Co-President of the Vernon Hills Sports Club, an organization providing youth travels sports programs for basketball, football and lacrosse (boys and girls) and has been the commissioner of youth lacrosse for the club since 2014. Coach Tran is a US Lacrosse Level 1 & Level 2 certified coach and has coached youth basketball and lacrosse since 2012 leading multiple teams to league championships.

The 2020 season is Coach Hearty's first at Vernon Hills High School where he also works as a TA. He grew up near Gurnee and attended Warren Township High School where he played Lacrosse and was a varsity captain his senior year. Coach Hearty attended Miami University (OH.) graduating in 2018 with a BA in History. Since college Coach Hearty has played in Men's leagues in the Chicagoland area and is actively involved in the lacrosse community.
