Radhika Joshi - Head Badminton Coach
This is Radhika’s 7th year coaching badminton at Vernon Hills High School. Radhika played badminton for high school, college & was part of the Jr. national team. Radhika is thrilled to be part of the sport she loves. Radhika also coaches JV boys swimming.
David Schroetter - Assistant Badminton Coach
This is Coach Schroetter’s 3rd year coaching badminton at Vernon Hills High School. He is also a Varsity Football coach and the lead strength training teacher at VH. This is his 26th teaching physical education in the Lake County area. He is very excited to be a part of the badminton program.
Corey Atwell - JV Coach
This is Coach Atwell’s 1st year coaching badminton at Vernon Hills High School. He is also a Special Olympic coach District 128 and the lead teacher for the drivers education department at VH. This is his 28th for teaching and coaching. He is very excited to be a part of the badminton program.
Dena Franchi - JV Coach
This is Dena’s first year coaching badminton at Vernon Hills High School. She recently graduated from Northeastern Illinois University receiving her Bachelor’s degree in physical education and a minor in health. She is working towards a special education endorsement so she can teach adaptive physical education classes. During her studies, Dena’s favorite unit in team sports was badminton; furthermore, she is enthused to work alongside coaches Atwell, Schroetter and Joshi to facilitate an engaging, supportive and exhilarating badminton experience for all students.
