Arian Colton - Head Coach - email Coach Colton

This is Coach Colton's second season at Vernon Hills.  In her coaching career, she has coached Division 1 Collegiate Volleyball at Duquesne University, Varsity Girls at Round Lake High School, and Varsity through Freshman at Libertyville High School (boys and girls). Colton also played Division 1 Collegiate Volleyball at Loyola University of Chicago. She served as Loyola's team Captain for 3 years and lead her team to the first ever NCAA Tournament appearance for any Loyola women's sports team. Colton attended high school at Libertyville High School.  As a Libertyville Wildcat, Colton was named to the 1993 Illinois All-State volleyball team and captained the 1993 Libertyville Wildcat team to 36-0 regular season record. She was a 3 year varsity volleyball starter and the team captain at Libertyville High School.

Eryk Krzyzak - Assistant Coach - email Coach Krzyzak

This is Krzyzak’s first season at Vernon Hills. He has been coaching with FESL Volleyball for the past seven years, specializing in clinics, private lessons, and summer camps. Krzyzak has playing experience at the men’s collegiate club level at The Ohio State University, where he was named to the Big Ten Men’s Volleyball Association (BTMVA) All-Conference team. He also has playing experience with the Dominican University Men’s Volleyball team. Krzyzak attended Prospect High School, where he was a 4 year varsity player while serving as the team captain. Aside from coaching, Krzyzak is also a recognized IHSA volleyball official.

Amanda Ambrose - Assistant Coach - email Coach Ambrose

This is Amanda’s fourth season coaching at Vernon Hills High School, and her 11th year coaching. Prior to coaching here, she coached at V-Hawk Power and Independence High School in Wisconsin; and Sky High Volleyball Club in Illinois. While obtaining her BS in Education at Viterbo University, she played setter for the V-Hawks. Outside of coaching volleyball, Amanda teaches Kindergarten at Gavin Central Elementary.

Alex Lobb - Assistant Coach - e-mail Coach Lobb

This is Coach Lobb’s first season coaching at Vernon Hills High school. She previously coached Freshman Girls Volleyball at Grayslake North High School as well as 8th grade boys volleyball. Coach Lobb has played the position of setter on her high school and Sky High team’s growing up. You may have seen Coach Lobb in the past as she teaches 8th grade Math at Hawthorn Middle North. You can find her spending her summers on the lake fishing, and her winters reading and knitting.

Jennifer Hamlin - Assistant Coach - email Coach Hamlin

This is Coach Hamlin’s first season coaching at Vernon Hills, and her 5th year coaching overall.  She coaches at Hawthorn Middle School, where she is a 7th grade Resource, Language Arts, Math, and teacher.  Jen has also coached at Libertyville High School and for Netforce Volleyball Club in Illinois. Aside from coaching, Jen loves to travel  So far she has traveled to France, Italy, Ireland, and the Czech Republic, but is ready for her next adventure!
