Coach Ossey Bio: I began my love for aquatics at an early age. Swimming in lakes and pools are a favorite pastime. I attended Stevenson High School where I swam all four years as a breaststroker and freestyler. Back then, water polo was beginning to emerge in the mid-west, especially for women. Our practices were co-ed with one coach overseeing the girls and the boys teams. In games, varsity girls and boys would have separate games and JV games were co-ed. I was mainly a goalie, however I also played in the field as a wing or a flat. Water polo became a state sport a year or two before I started teaching. My coaching career began in Naperville where I was the assistant girls' coach for Naperville North High School from 2005-2010. In 2011, I made the switch to Naperville Central as the assistant girls' water polo coach until 2014. While at Naperville Central we had numerous trips to the State Tournament including a second place title in 2012. In 2014, I decided that I needed to step away from coaching to tend to my young children. Now that they are older, my love for the water and coaching continues. I coached one season (2023) of girls' JV polo at Glenbrook South High School. Starting in 2022, you may have seen me on the pool deck during the VHHS girls' swim and dive season as one of the assistant swim coaches.
