Prevention & Wellness Program

Welcome to the Vernon Hills High School Prevention & Wellness (P & W) Website

The Prevention & Wellness Program provides school-wide substance abuse prevention, mental health awareness, and intervention programs.  As well as addresses other issues related to students' well being.  Our programming is accomplished through a partnership of school personnel, students, parents, community service providers and volunteers.

COUNSELING RESOURCES:

TeleCounseling Resources - major insurance companies are covering telecounseling sessions as if they were occurring in the office.

VAPING:

Since we know that smoking & vaping directly affect lung & respiratory functioning, it is highly recommended that those who smoke/vape stop. Immediately. There is a helpful article on Scientific American's website called "Smoking or Vaping May Increase the Risk of a Severe Coronavirus Infection"
