Libertyville High School Invites You to the Celebration of the Century!
Libertyville High School and Community High School District 128 invite students, parents, staff, alumni, retirees and community members to join the celebration of Libertyville High School's 100th anniversary. The following is a schedule of the upcoming Centennial events:
Homecoming Football Game
Oct. 6 | 7:30 p.m.
The LHS Alumni Band will join the LHS Marching Band for a few numbers.
Special guest honorary captains will take the field for the coin toss.
Oct. 7 | 9:30 a.m.
Enjoy the homecoming centennial parade, 100 Years of #Lvillepride. The parade will include many reunion classes, honored guests who have returned for the event, and a special Centennial float. The Grand Marshall of this year's parade is our oldest living graduate, Ethel Jochheim from the Class of 1938.
Centennial Open House
Oct. 7 | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The school will be open for guests beginning at 10:00 a.m. Join us for a special Centennial Welcome from LHS Principal Tom Koulentes at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Gym. Guided tours will begin following the welcome, and will be available until 12:30. Take a stroll down the hallways that will be decorated for the decades, and see how the high school has changed since your days at LHS. Enjoy displays, a special Centennial video, refreshments and a chance to say hello to many special guests including former principals, teachers and more!
