Emergency Closing Information

In case of a need to close school because of a weather-related event or other unforeseen reason, District 128 administrators will make the decision as soon as possible, with input from the sender district administrators and the bus company.

In addition, notice will be broadcast over radio stations WKRS (1220AM), WMAQ (670AM), WGN (720AM), B-96-FM, 94.7FM, and television stations FOX 32-TV, WGN-TV Channel 9, and WMAQ Channel 5-TV.

The District also uses a rapid notification system to contact parents via phone, e-mail and text. In order to use this system effectively, parents should inform their student’s LST of any telephone changes, including home, cell and emergency contact numbers.
