SPECIAL SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The mission of Community High School District 128 is to provide quality educational opportunities that foster the development of well-rounded, civic-minded learners and citizens. The special services teams at Libertyville High School and Vernon Hills High School strive to support all students in their high school experience based on their individualized needs and with creative planning. D128 provides a continuum of special education and related services to provide educational opportunities for all learners, including through our collaboration with the Special Education District of Lake County. Services provided through the Special Services Department include Special Education planning under IDEA, 504 Accommodation planning under ADA, and Home/Hospital Instruction services.

NOTICE OF VIRTUAL PUBLIC MEETING
On Wednesday, May 27, 2020, from 9:00-10:00am, a virtual meeting conducted by Kelli Hartweg, District Director of Special Services, will take place on Zoom.
The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the district’s plans for providing special education services to high school-aged students with disabilities who attend private schools located within the boundaries of District 128 and/or who are home-schooled within the district for the 2020 - 2021 school year. If you are the parent of a high school aged, home-schooled student with a disability and you reside within the boundaries of Community High School District 128, you are urged to attend.
