Community Education

The D128 Community Education program has been committed to providing life-long learning opportunities for adults, youth and families of our community for 74 years. The program has offered affordable, high-quality programs featuring in-person and live online classes that provide opportunities for personal growth, new hobbies and much more.

With the adoption of the District 128 Strategic Plan as a way to reach our DARING Mission, the Administration team has been reviewing existing district programs to ensure that they align with the D128 Mission and Vision. As part of this process, the Community Education program was reviewed and although it does meet the needs of a small group of adults in our community, it was determined to not be in alignment with the priorities for student learning represented in the DARING Mission and Strategic Plan. Therefore, the D128 Administration has recommended to the Board of Education to discontinue the Community Education program at the end of June 2023.

Thank you for your support of the D128 Community Education program.
