BASS FISHING CLUB
IHSA Bass Fishing Team is a group of individuals dedicated to improving their skills as bass anglers and participating in competitive bass tournaments. The team is primarily active during the open water season in the early fall and mid to late spring. The state sectionals and championship occur in the spring and invitationals can occur in either fall or spring. The team gathers in the fall and then again in the spring.
The Bass fishing Team meets on Thursdays after school in room 1516 during the Fall and Spring. The team focus is to prepare anglers to compete in the IHSA Bass fishing sectionals on the Chain of lakes on the 3rd Friday in April. A third place or better, will qualify that boat to compete in the State Finals in Carlyle Illinois on Lake Carlyle. Participants will learn how to use a baitcasting reel and how to apply a variety of lures and techniques to become better anglers.
