Community Education 128 Policies & Procedures

Registration, Tuition & Fees

Residents from surrounding communities are welcome to take classes for the same tuition fees as residents of D128. Registration begins immediately and runs throughout the semester unless otherwise noted. Prompt registration online, by mail or fax helps ensure enrollment in class. Payment must be submitted at the time of registration. Checks (payable to Community High School District 128 or CHSD 128) or VISA or Master card are accepted with mail-in registrations. Credit cards are required with faxed and online registrations. Our fax number is (847) 327-7938.

In person registration is available at the Community Education Office at the Administrative building at 50 Lakeview Parkway, Suite 104, Vernon Hills during the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. The office is closed on school holidays, and hours may vary over winter and spring breaks and during the summer. Please call (847) 247-4575 to verify hours of operation.

Please register early!  Some classes have limited spaces and fill up quickly. Classes with insufficient registration will be canceled five working days prior to the start of class. Registrations may be accepted up to the first night of class as student capacity and supply material availability permits.

Registrations will be confirmed via email and an email reminder will be sent when the class is confirmed to run. Please mark your calendar with class dates, times and location. Unless you are notified by phone or email of a class cancellation, the class will meet.

If material fees are listed in the course description as payable to the instructor, please make note and come to the class prepared with exact change or a check.

All classes in the Community Education Program are self-supporting and depend upon full collection of tuition, so once a class is confirmed, no refunds will be given.  Students wishing to cancel their registration must do so via email to at least five business days prior to the class start datein order to receive a refund, and the refund will be given as long as the class has not yet been confirmed.  A $15 cancellation fee may be charged on all refunds.  If District 128 cancels the class, a full refund will be made.
