Curricular Choirs

Concert Choir (grades 10-12 men, 11-12 women)
This advanced choir of mixed voices will be exposed to and perform music from many different periods of history. Continued work on vocal technique, sight-reading skills, and theory is included. In the past, the Concert Choir has performed at many community events, scored highly in the IHSA Organizational Contest, has worked with professors at the University of Illinois, Illinois State University, Augustana College, Lawrence University, the University of Central Florida and has traveled to Walt Disney World and Nassau, Bahamas.

Lakeview Chorale (grades 10-12 women)
This intermediate choir of female voices will be exposed to and perform music from many different periods of history. Continued work on vocal technique, sight-reading skills, and theory will be stressed.

Voices in Harmony (grades 9-12 men/women)
This beginning/intermediate choir of male and female voices will be exposed to and perform music from many different periods of history. Continued work on vocal technique, sight-reading skills, and theory will be stressed.


Co-Curricular Choirs

Chamber Choir (By audition: grades 9-12 men and women)
This advanced group of 16-20 students will perform music of the chamber music, madrigal, and vocal jazz genre. Advanced vocal techniques are developed. Rehearsals are during the school day 4a and Monday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm.

Student Ensembles for Solo & Ensemble Contest
Students may choose to form ensembles and rehearse during the months of January and February for the IHSA S&E Contest in March.

Love Notes (By audition: grades 9-12 women)
This advanced group of 8-12 female students will perform music of the contemporary and pop genre. Advanced vocal techniques are required. 

VoiceMale (By audition: grades 9-12 men)
This advanced group of 8-12 male students will perform music of the contemporary and pop genre. Advanced vocal techniques are required.
