TRANSCRIPTS

Students applying to college will need a transcript of their high school record.  In most cases, LHS/VHHS will forward this record electronically through the vendor, Naviance.   In compliance with state and federal statutes, it is necessary for LHS/VHHS to have an authorization to forward student records.  This FERPA authorization is found on a student’s Naviance account for the Common Application.  By checking the correct box the student has authorized LHS/VHHS to forward an official transcript to the identified institution. Students may not have to apply to colleges using the Common Application, however the box must be checked to submit all transcripts.  Please allow one week for the request to be processed.

Community High School District 128 observes the statute that requires the forwarding, within 10 days of the receipt of request, an unofficial record of the student's grades to the school to which the student is transferring. The district shall forward written information relative to the grade levels, subjects and record of academic grades achieved, current mathematics and language arts placement levels, health records and a most current set of standardized test reports. The district, within 10 days after the student has paid all of his or her outstanding fines and fees, will forward an official transcript of the scholastic records of each student transferring (District 128 Board Policy 7:50)

TRANSFER STUDENTS
Students transferring into LHS/VHHS from another school will have their transcripts evaluated in accordance with LHS/VHHS guidelines.  As an example, LHS/VHHS course credit limitations will apply.
