WELCOME TO VHHS!

Your 8th grade student will soon begin the process of transitioning to Vernon Hills High School for the 2025-2026 school year. Throughout the year we will post updated information as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

The incoming 9th grade admission process goes through four phases:

Phase 1: preregistration begins the end of September thru October 14th, 2024
Phase 2: setting up your parent PowerSchool account in November
Phase 3: course selection in January and February (includes 8th grade orientation on January 16th)
Phase 4: annual school registration and registration fees June 2-June 26!

Phase 1: Preregistration opens September 23, 2024!

OCTOBER 14, 2024: DEADLINE FOR COMPLETING YOUR STUDENTS PREREGISTRATION

JANUARY 16, 2025: VERNON HILLS HIGH SCHOOL 8TH GRADE ORIENTATION

JANUARY-FEBRUARY 2025: COURSE SELECTION FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

JUNE 2-JUNE 26, 2025: ANNUAL SCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR

AUGUST 11, 2025: FIRST DAY OF THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
