New and Prospective Students

This page was designed to help families who are interested in moving into the Vernon Hills High School District or have recently moved into the district and require registration information.

Registration Procedures

Step 1: Please contact our registrar, Mrs. Roleck, at Vernon Hills High School. Please provide her with your new address.

Step 2: Proof of residency documentation will be required. All documents must show the same address and name associated with the property. You will be sent a SECURE LINK to upload the following documents. Do not email these documents.

  Category I Documents (WE REQUIRE 1 document from the following LIST)  
Most recent tax bill Mortgage Statement Closing statement for purchase
Blue assessment from Lake County Assessor's Office Signed Current Lease (all pages) with two proofs of payment  
Utility bill (gas, electric, water) within the last 60 days  Landline phone bill Cable TV bill
Car insurance Car registration

Homeowner's or renter's insurance

Voter registration card Public aid card or Kids Care medial card  

Step 3: Sign the records release form and send back to the Registrar office to help us obtain former school records. Be aware that an immunization record will also be required. A current Illinois school physical, eye exam and dental exam are required within 30 days of enrollment.

Step 4: Once residency is proven, you will be sent a link to begin the online portion of registration called Registration Gateway. Once this is complete, your student's new counselor will contact you to set up an appointment to select classes.
